"The photo! Grace, wait!"
He'd unceremoniously forgotten it.
He'd forgotten exactly as he’d forgotten the sweet words that some girls before her had whispered in his ear.
The only ones that were still clear in his mind, however, were those that painstakingly recounted all his past mistakes.
He saw them all again now. Now that she’d disappeared around the corner, and her hands were no longer there to take his memories away.
It was raining and the only thing that remained in front of him was her face reflected on the neon-lit windows, exposed to the light just as he was exposed to the world now.
While the last drops beat eagerly against the door, he heard her voice: "Tomorrow is the only thing that makes sense of what has happened today. Wait for it to come."
